2nd International Hearing Loop Conference White Paper

The 2nd International Hearing Loop Conference was co-hosted by the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) and the American Academy of Audiology (Academy) in Crystal City, Virginia, from June 18 through June 20, 2011. The conference was a culmination of the year-long “Get in the Hearing Loop” campaign spearheaded by HLAA and the Academy. The event offered an international, highly public platform “to enlighten and excite consumers, as well as audiologists and other professionals who dispense hearing aids or provide services to individuals with cochlear implants, about telecoils and hearing loops and their unique benefits.” The conference was noteworthy in many ways.
